No big surprise, the increased gas mileage is costing me more. But I'm paying $3.95/gal for 91 octane ethanol free compared to $3.45 for ethanol added 92 octane gas. With about half a tank gone so far, I'm getting 21.0 mpg, up from 18.5 best in town driving. Now I just started running my DD '15 on ethanol free (91 octane) in town. Best I'd gotten before was about about 32.5 (ethanol 92 octane) with intermittent bouts of zoom-zooming. I got 37 mpg with ethanol free on a recent road trip (about 1 tank of gas), about 75 mph on the interstate with cruise control set, top down going, top up coming home. I ran most of the ethanol gas out of the tank and filled up with ethanol free, 91 octane. I was getting ready to moth-ball my RF for the winter (parked covered outside). Then I also learned here about how ethanol free gas can increase your mpg's. Duhhh, the higher the rpm's, the lower the gas mileage. One, zoom-zooming greatly reduces my mpg on both the '15 PRHT and the '17 RF.
